Reconnecting the Generations

Many of you will know most of Generation 2 generation’s story: we have spent many years speaking about the Spirit of Elijah being poured out in the last days to see the turning of the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers. We all know that this is the time of a fatherless generation, a time of great abandonment, sorrow, and feeling of a void left by the desecration of the family flow.

As we have spoken about the generations, much of our time has been spent going against the grain, going against popular belief systems and structures.

The family was meant to be a place that harbored Faith, Hope, and Love. A family was intended to serve the Lord, and say, like Joshua, “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” It was to be a place where Christ was another member of the family and mirrored in each life.

Throughout history there have been plans by Satan to thwart Christ's grand plan - the plan to unite all under one banner, to bring all under His Father’s roof.

When the church speaks of Uniting, it always talks about it in terms of uniting church bodies (admitting to a fractured body), of trying to close the gaps between streams and denominations. But I believe that Christ meant much more, I believe He was also talking about families.

He asks that we may be united in all areas; this is as much about families as it is anything else.

For so long, we felt we were on our own as we carried this message, but now are seeing more and more people catching the heart of bringing healing to the body of Christ as generational fractures are healed. This is very encouraging. We are seeing people from the unreached and persecuted nations voicing their concern for the generations, to pastors of mega churches asking what do we do about the desperate need for the turning of the generations around the world and restoring Christ-centered family.

We, as a ministry, have really felt the blessing of walking in the Spirit of Elijah, having favor over 25 years of our ministry, and now are so happy to see this same spirit starting to be poured out and reaping fruit.
