• You will be required to restart your computer after closing all the programs
• Reboot the system and then run the Norton security software.’
• You will have to click on ‘Open’ at the time you see ‘My Norton’ window
• Go to the ‘security’ option
• Now, you would have to click on ‘Full system scan’ once you choose the ‘Scans’ option
• After scanning, click on ‘Finish.’
• Now, restart the computer to check if the issue persists

To resolve this problem, restart the computer and then run a full system scan.

STEP 1 Restart the computer
Exit all programs.

Restart the computer.

STEP 2 Run Full System Scan
Start Norton.

If you see the My Norton window, next to Device Security, click Open.

In the main window, double-click Security, and then click Scans.

In the Scans window, select Full System Scan and click Go.

When the scan is finished, click Finish.
